Race Day Info, packet pickup and late registration

Thank you for supporting Matthew 25 and the Salvation army by participating in Flood the Run presented by Veridian Credit Union. This post contains some important information about packet pickup and race day so please read through it.

1.) Packet pickup – You can pick up your Flood the Run packets at the follow times:

– Friday, August 14 from noon to 8pm at Matthew 25, 201 3rd Ave SW

– Saturday, August 15 from 7am to 10am at the River Pavilion in Ellis Park

2.) Late registrations – Online registration will close at midnight on Thursday night but we will still take registrations at packet pick-up at Matthew 25 on Friday and on race day morning from 7am to 10am at River Pavilion. So bring your friends! Send them this email if you like. Note that if you would like a t-shirt and are registering late, it will cost an additional $5.00. Dri-fit shirts are $10.

Late registration prices are as follows:
$15 ages 10 and under
$35 age 11 and up
3.) Plan to arrive early – Plan to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before your wave is scheduled to start. This will allow you plenty of time to find parking and get ready to run. Check your original confirmation email to see your wave time.

4.) Parking – There should be plenty of parking available in and around the park. But Ellis Road will be closed so you may want to check out the parking map and determine where you want to park before you arrive.See the map for parking locations. https://www.crfloodtherun.com/course-map/

It may be easier to arrive from east of the park because cars coming from Edgewood Road will be sent through a winding detour to get around the closed road.

5.) Remember your wrist band – You’ll receive a wrist band in your packet. Don’t forget to wear that on race morning. That’s how we’ll identify who is registered to participate. You may want to put it on when you get it at packet pickup.

6.) We still need volunteers -https://www.crfloodtherun.com/volunteer/ If you have family or friends coming to watch, encourage them to volunteer.

7.) Plan to GET SOAKED! – You may want to put a towel in the car. You can bring a change of clothes, but be aware that we don’t have designated changing areas. There will be port-a-potties. You may also want to slather on some sunscreen before you come, or bring some along with you.

8.) Stick around after the race – We’ll have lots of kids activities in the park after the race so please stick around and enjoy.

9.) If you know anyone that works for one of our sponsors, tell them THANK YOU!
